Player Ages
Open to high school boys (incoming freshmen through rising seniors), graduating classes of 2026-2029. Space is limited.
If you are looking to practice your skills, take your game to the next level, and have fun while doing it, High Desert Lax is for you. -
Season Schedule
Season is July to early January 2026. July 1-August 5, practices are Tuesday/Thursday evenings. Starting August 10, practices will be Sunday evenings. Tournament schedule is Zion Summit Classic, November 7-8 in St. George, UT & Adrln Challenge, January 3-4, 2026 in Del Mar, CA.

Our Directors

Coach Boutwell got his start in lacrosse at Skyline High School in Sandy, UT. From there his collegiate career took him to Earlham College, followed by Colorado Mesa University where he played midfield for the Mavericks. He has coached at the youth level with True Lacrosse Utah and Grand Valley Lacrosse. Most recently, he’s served as defensive coordinator for Grand Junction High School boys lacrosse.

Coach Brummett graduated from The Gilman School in Baltimore, MD, then went on to play attack for Colorado Mesa University. While at CMU, Jed ranked third in program history for career goals and graduated as the program leader in goals per game.

Coach Teske played lacrosse at Cherry Creek High School when Bacharach helmets were elite. He took a break from the game for college and graduate school but has never been far from the sport. He has been involved with men’s play for many years as a player and started coaching in 2017 at the youth level. He served as the offensive coordinator for Grand Junction High School boys lacrosse in 2025 and will be the head coach at GJHS in 2026. He brings his 35 years of lacrosse experience as a player, parent, coach, and fan to High Desert.
